Rest

Even God rested from all His works.
AND even though we don’t have to keep the sabbath:
‘Therefore, don’t let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.’
Colossians 2:16
It’s important to rest from our labor and renew our minds.
I’ve poured out, and I needed to be poured into. I love pouring into women. We are very special. We have a different spiritual insight that men just don’t have.
The enemy, the liar, Satan himself, has many women causing them to lower their position. Our position is one of ruling in authority as believers and he always wants to take that away.
Read Ephesians 2, and you will find what our past once was and what our today and future is when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We no longer identify with our sinful, cursed nature. We identify as redeemed, sanctify, delivered, and more.
Relationships have to rest and be renewed too. My husband works constantly and has to still work being his own boss on our time of rest. But, once he turns the phone off, its off. We’ve learned it’s important for US to retreat, renew, rest and not think about anyone else, but us.
If you are not married, your US is Holy Spirit. He is the best lover of our souls. One of the things that attracted me to my husband is that I love God more…. it is God’s will that “the man” will come. “He who finds a wife….” You know the rest.
Can’t get away? Look at your surroundings and go to a park, take a hike, host a tea party, make friends, read books about where you want to go travel, make your wish list…dream…and more. Focus on what you don’t have?… jealousy, envy, and more will come.
“Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.”Romans 12:5 …life is so much better when you make this your motto.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.” – Psalm 23:2
Thank you Lord for rest and quiet waters for my soul.
