When loneliness hits and you want to believe that you’re all alone, turn to the God who is near. His Spirit is living within you. Jesus himself told his disciples, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth” (John 14:16–17). You truly are never alone. (Source: Bible Gateway)
I was working on the book called, “Get Out of Your Head," by Jennie Allen, and one of the things that I wrote on my “mind map” was “being with everyone, but still being alone.”
This was a time when I was working on writing a lot of seminary papers, and teaching two classes a week, which takes a lot of time. In doing that, you don’t have time for building relationships. After graduation I managed to meet up with people at least one to two times a week, so was this thought a true thought?
We have to really be careful what we think and line it up with the question, “is this good, pure, lovely, etc." (Philippians 4) One of the repeating phrases in the book is “thinking about what you’re thinking”….
By the way, what are you thinking about that needs to change?
