One of my favorite colors is turquoise, hot pink, bright orange, bold blues.
What is your favorite?
It makes me think of the coat given to Joseph made of many colors. Can you imagine this grand coat given to one son, and the others never receiving a coat like that one. What feelings or memory does that bring up in your mind?
Well, Joseph, was special, he was called to a different journey than his brothers. If we recognize this calling and difference to the many people in our lives, are we lifting them up in prayer? Are we praising, encouraging them in their journey. Or, are we sitting, looking with envy, jealousy and wanting harm to come on the person that God has chosen for such a time as this?
We are all given gifts for the kingdom. Are you using that gift, or coveting the gift of another?
Today, walk in your calling. Put the coat on that Jesus gave you. Serving, hospitality, giving, administration are gifts that people won’t see, but God knows what you are doing, and you will be rewarded.
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; as it is written, “He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness, you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.”
2 Corinthians 9:8-11
