We are so thankful for the Island Park Outreach, “Leaving the 99 for 1”. We handed out 190 salvation bags full of goodies, one soul came to the Lord, and many were touched, delivered, encouraged by the songs, rap, poetry, mime, and so much more. If you did not get a chance to attend, go to our Dove’s Cry WHW, Inc. business page, or Group page and watch all the clips.
July is a month that we celebrate the 4th of July, which represents America’s independence. We, as Christians, look at independence in a different way.
“He who the Son set free is free indeed.” John 8:36
What does it really mean to be free?
Free from the Bondage of SIN
Free from the Penalty of SIN
Free from the Guilt of SIN
Well, what was SIN to us before we were free?
It was weights, heaviness, or something that beat up our conscious. It was killing us, and we had no hope.
Can we return to our SIN? Can we return to EGYPT?
Yes, we can if we look back and keep reminding ourselves of it.
Yes, if we look back and carry the weight of it.
Yes, if we look back thinking it was better when I was….
Yes, if we don’t forgive ourselves.
May your July be one of forgiving yourself, releasing, not looking back, but pressing on!
“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running and I’m not turning back.
So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.” – Philippians 3:14-15 - The Message Bible
