Walking on Purpose

“Therefore, whether we are at home [on earth] or away from home [and with Him], it is our [constant] ambition to be pleasing to Him. For we [believers will be called to account and] must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be repaid for what has been done in the body, whether good or bad [that is, each will be held responsible for his actions, purposes, goals, motives—the use or misuse of his time, opportunities and abilities].” 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 (Amplified )

Setting goals, visions, and making resolutions should always be part of our life. Without them we will stay the same. The word of God says to press toward, and run the race. In reading this passage, you see the “why you should make goals”. If not, let me help you:

1. We are to please God.

2. We will be called to account, will appear before Christ and be repaid for what has been done in the body, whether good or bad.

3. We are responsible for our actions, purposes, GOALS, and motives.

4. We are responsible for the use or misuse of God’s time, opportunities and abilities that He gave us.

So, guess what? YOU need to make some goals, walk in your purpose and have a vision…so start seeking Him, praying to Him, and writing the vision down. Don’t let this last year pass without making several new goals….one step at a time.

We normally make our husks in January, but we are half way through 2023!! Did you make any goals or changes? I have a niece who decided to change her eating habits, change her surroundings, change the people she hangs with, and is planning for the next season of her life. It’s never too late to have goals. She has been an inspiration to me this year.

Prayer: Lord, always help us to know and remember we are here on this earth for a purpose. You have always had a plan for us before the foundation of the world. Help us to find that plan, help us to stop and listen to you. Your word says, “My sheep hear My voice, and another they will not follow. I hate to say it, Lord, but we sometimes follow the wrong voice. Help us “to be still, and know that you are God.” Guard over our lives, our plans, and every path you take us on. In Jesus name, Amen!
